Who we are
City of Ubuntu Cameroon is an association for the promotion and protection of human dignity, common good, solidarity and subsidiarity.
We want to contribute to the transformation of society by promoting and protecting the principles of living together expressed by the Ubuntu ethic.
Our mission is to
- build bridges between people by creating spaces for (intercultural) encounters;
- to strengthen the capacities of social players by promoting entrepreneurship and quality comprehensive education for all;
- working for respect for African authenticity in a climate of dialogue and reciprocity with other worldviews;
We are inspired by the Ubuntu principles of human dignity, the common good, solidarity and subsidiarity.
Local Projects & Activities
- Intercultural Exchange
Our annual Ubuntu Journey fosters dialogue and mutual understanding. We also promote intercultural exchange through events, discussions, and online initiatives.
- The Ubuntu Center
An engineer from Cameroon is leading a collaborative process with 2 austrian architects to design and build the Ubuntu Center, combining African traditional techniques with modern eco-friendly architecture.
- Education
We organize workshops and training sessions to empower individuals with sustainable skills.
- City of Ubuntu Youth
We work to enhance the capabilities of youth trough monthly training
