Why do we organise intercultural journeys and who are they for?
We firmly believe that a sustainable future can be shaped together through the exchange of cultures, knowledge and perspectives. Our trips offer participants the opportunity to look beyond their own horizons, immerse themselves in the reality of life on another continent and at the same time gain new perspectives on their own challenges and solutions.
The Ubuntu Journey is a space for encounters at eye level that goes far beyond traditional tourism programmes. It promotes dialogue, mutual understanding and personal development. During the trip, participants not only learn about African culture, but also about local world views, challenges and solutions. In addition, the promotion of solidarity and global engagement plays a central role: we want to offer you the opportunity to actively participate in socially relevant projects and develop solutions to the most pressing challenges with the local people.
City of Ubuntu organises the trip with a high level of support and commitment: from advance information, online meetings and cultural evenings to practical support with visas, vaccinations and travel arrangements, we are on hand to assist participants throughout the entire process. Our experienced local teams ensure that the trip is safe and enriching and that participants can actively participate in the intercultural exchange.

Upcoming Ubuntu Journey to Cameroon 2025
“On the trail of ancient knowledge”
In 2025, the Ubuntu trip has the motto “On the trail of ancient knowledge – where culture and nature meet in Africa” and focuses on traditional agricultural techniques in Cameroon, which are not only ecological and sustainable, but are unfortunately increasingly being forgotten. We will meet people who practice sustainable agriculture using traditional and modern methods and gain practical experience of how nature and culture are interwoven in Africa.
