Why an Ubuntu Farm?
Farming and animal husbandry are at the heart of our vision to build a ‘City of Ubuntu’, a community based on solidarity and respect. These activities, integrated into our infrastructure, reflect our commitment to a sustainable way of life in harmony with nature.
They also guarantee the self-financing of our social projects, giving us the autonomy to develop educational, ecological and cultural initiatives. By practising agro-ecology and a circular economy, we protect the environment while optimising our resources.
Finally, these activities strengthen the skills of local players and visitors alike. They provide a learning space, where everyone can learn about sustainable practices and exchange knowledge. In this way, City of Ubuntu is becoming a model of resilience and collaboration for a more inclusive future.

Apiculture
Bees were the first inhabitants of City of Ubuntu, perfectly embodying the values of solidarity and interconnection that define the Ubuntu ethos. Much more than just producers of natural honey, they symbolize harmony with nature, collective work and the importance of each individual for the well-being of the community. Their presence is a reminder that, just like in a beehive, everyone has an essential role to play in building a sustainable and equitable future.

Machines
At City of Ubuntu, we seek to improve agricultural working conditions while promoting local resources. In the surrounding area, work is often done by hand, which is exhausting and inefficient. To remedy this, we are introducing adapted agricultural machinery made in Cameroon. This facilitates repairs, supports the local economy and shows workers the benefits of mechanizing certain tasks. This equipment not only increases efficiency, but also promotes Cameroonian ingenuity and know-how.
Among our acquisitions is, for example, a land clearing machine, a tractor and a machine for making mud bricks. The latest arrivals are a food dehydrator and mill for on-the-spot food transformation.
